another birthday present for my bodyattack instructor/senior, Shuzhen stay late in office to do this. done in 1.5hrs. gesture sketch with pencil, outline with ballpointpen, erase pencil, scan, touchup colour in AdobePhotoshop. drew her in bodyattack attire, her eyebrows+eyes and her nice small is the focus area to draw to make it look like her.
i need to do more drawings, been very busy with bodyattack+bodyjam teamteaching on stage and attending friends' event this and that. maybe i should draw the instructors for their birthdays, to catchup on my drawings...

another instructor in fitnessfirstsingapore, he's also asia pacific's bodycombat+balance trainer, my master(and mother of lotsa combatchildren) mr Ben Tang! quite a fast doodle..yes yes..many in facebook asked why no nose..my answer is if i add in nose..won't look like him..if wanna add in nose..will look like a normal portrait, aim here was to "cartoonize" Ben. so ya...there you are. this has good a "card" feel to it..due to the layout of the text and format i guess. wonder who is the next person i be drawing..hmmm...Naila maybe?

finally done a illustration for Junwei, my fellow senior combat instructor, he been requesting a drawing of him.. ya ya..i know i been doing much gals drawing. oh well... here u are :P oh yes.. thats a "check this out" handsign for cue-ing the next move/combo.
i guess he's kinda happy with it as he now using it in his facebook and msn. hmm..so wondering who's next in line to draw :)

something i drew in late july but didnt have the time to colour and upload til tonight. just inspired by something i like to do for the past few years... yup running/jogging. all very "swoosh" maybe due to the fact i've been buying much of swooh products. hmmm.. after uploading i feel the body is abit long for a bunny, and the outline for the bunny should be alot thicker, but oh well. kinda sucks that i didnt upload any doodle in here for the month of august. grrr... must keep drawing!!!

finally i have something to update, time was not on my side for the past 2 months, going to KL for LesMillsQuarterlyWorkshop, reservist, office-relocation etc. anyway that aside, today will be abit different from what i normally do. my sisters colleagues had asked me to design a glasswall mural(with a 旺 character for fortune) which turn out well as using vinyl stickers, the flourish design were actually some templates from wilson, i used it and modify abit..ya..not that original i know :P while another to design 2 invitation cards, one for ROM and another for ROM post-party at Lunar. i just uploaded the Lunar one as i enjoyed doing. the printing came out really well :)

a motiongraphic done in oct 2007, took around 2 weeks on/off to complete it. a simple and direct graphical with musicsynchro which ends with my company's logo, kinda like a selfpromo. creating and preparation took up the most time, i wanted gauge the rate of my working speed(argh..apparently not fast) and also Hi-Defination output. planned on paper,created in illustrator, animated in AE and edited in FCPro. by some sheer luck i was able to synchro my visual and the musictrack. hm.. lets hope i can do up one or two more mograph this year.

havent got much time to doodle anything much during the long weekend, been tanning, gyming and hmm..slacking..ha! i decide to upload some werks from the past, above are my 2 instructors, faye(bodycombat) and vivi(mtvmoves) done using redballpointpen, scanned, didnt really cleaned up much, keeping it raw with colours added in using PS. more of capturing the moment of time and gestures, background elements added in for more motiondirection. seems like all my illustrations are kinda fan/person-inspired. and very human human human only :P

2 more sketches for the night using blackballpointpen+redmarker, always been my colours of choice. inspired by the koreanboyband, Shinhwa in youtube, both are actually the members with great dance moves that totally (well almost) took my breath away when only two of them collaborate in a dance. i left sketches digitally untampered, wanna keep it kinda raw to have the gesture strokes as dance motion in some way, so just newly-scanned only :)

didnt go home ytday, been working straight for at least 32hrs maybe? while waiting my edit to be rendered, doodled out Mr G(andalf), program director of bodyjam, i just need to add this in besides bodycombat ya? used the fax/scanner, quality wasnt good :P this time round using the elements to twirl around the character, the one on his right arm looks weird, added in white to bring out the main cast, hmmm as usual will colour if can find time and feeling :)

managed to dig out some time to doodle abit during the video rendering of my projects, the above 2 characters are THE 2 LesMills "daddy+mommy" of bodycombat (both just tied the knot recently). a quick sketch initially with ballpoint pen, normally i don't use pencil unless important work, then scanned and cleaned up with PS. just placed a coloured background for the colourscheme, don't really have the time to colour for now.
oh well, guess what? my 1st sketch post. more to come? pray i have the time :)

hi to all, this will be my art/sketch/doodle blog, hopefully i can blog this with my daily works up in here for viewing and comments. little intro of myself, a 27+ "ah beng"(a hokkien word describing a typical hooligan in sg..hmm...most people calling me by that because of my "owe$pay$ face). working as a motion graphic artist in little red dot singapore, near chinatown under atticfilms.
deals with video compositing, editing and little little stuffs here and there, but i guess my forte would be illustration, time to time if i can find some time, i would doodle abit on my scrap papers, just to keep my passion going.
also going thru training as a LesMills body combat instructor at the same time, hopefully can bring my life to another excited level :)

well, thats about it, i let my works do the talking, comments and critique are allowed, even chatting but prefer thru msn :P
